    Volunteering at the Food Bank is easy! Come in during hours of operation, Monday through Friday from 10 until 1, and fill out our brief application form. You do not need any special training to volunteer, and there are no constraining time commitments. You may volunteer one time, or on a regular basis. Each shift lasts about three hours and involves a variety of projects and tasks. Volunteers must be eighteen years or older (we welcome middle and high school students to complete any school-required service hours for our fund raising events).

    Our food bank assists families in the Brookings area who are without food. Each month we distribute a box of nutritional food to individuals and families, for three to five days of meals.
