“It takes a village to raise a child”. We have all heard that. The same should be said about poverty and homelessness; “It takes a community to end poverty and homelessness”.
The Coalition is dedicated to developing strong community collaborations because no matter your status, we are community. The Coalition strives to develop county wide network of service collaborations to decrease instances of homelessness and reduce the financial strain to the communities.
The goal is to ensure that those in need receive appropriate, non-duplicated services and to identify gaps in services.
How To Join:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! As a private, non-profit organization, the Curry Homeless Coalition relies on the dedicated involvement of volunteers to succeed in its mission. The goal of the Volunteer Program is to support the mission of the Coalition and to offer opportunities for the community to meaningfully connect with the people it serves. Please visit our website for more information on volunteering with us. Please note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
The Curry Homeless Coalition began as a grass-roots effort when a handful of concerned people started working to make sure the neediest in our community are cared for. We rely on the kindness and generosity of supporters to make our mission successful.
The Curry Homeless Coalition is a community resource -- it could not operate without those who share their time and money so that the neediest among us have a place of hope.
